Panelshop Technician I Overview:
As a Panelshop Technician I, you will play a vital role in supporting the Switchgear Modernization Panelshop. You will work directly with senior technicians and engineers to assemble, wire, and test custom electrical control panels while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.

Panelshop Technician I Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior technicians and engineers in the manufacturing, assembly, wiring, and testing of custom-designed electrical control products.

  • Perform routine inspections, tests, and quality checks on electrical equipment to ensure compliance with standards.

  • Troubleshoot wiring issues using digital multimeters, manuals, and technical documentation, collaborating with senior team members as needed.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following all safety regulations, policies, and procedures, and report hazards or incidents promptly.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 1–3 years of experience in a technical or maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing, laboratory, or industrial setting.

  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems and components, with the ability to use hand and power tools safely.

  • Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

  • Ability to wire point-to-point in a factory environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions, troubleshoot issues, and work independently or in a team.

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks required by the role.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support operational needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical certification or associate degree in electronics, mechanics, or industrial technology.

  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Previous experience collaborating effectively in diverse team environments. #INDCRS
