Job Description

Pediatric ICU Nurse (RN)
Akron, OH
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (s/week)
Pay: (local) or $2592 (weekly gross- travel)

The PICU RN position is based in a unit that serves pediatric patients with a wide range of acute care needs. Unit details include but not limited to ECMO program, CRRT, post-op heart, trauma, and neurosurgery. 

PICU RN Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and directing nursing care — with a focus on family-centered care for individual or groups of patients. 
  • Providing care for patients’ physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs.
  • Performing patient-centered care duties and professional nursing duties (monitoring, interventions, documentation, etc.).
  • Engaging in quality improvement and safety practices. 
  • Participating in evidence-based practice — using best practices to guide care. 
  • Supporting provider staff (physicians, advanced practice providers) and collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team for efficient operation and high-quality care. 
PICU RN Requirements:
  • Active OH or compact state RN license.
  • Bachelors Degree (BSN required)
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications 
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent PICU RN experience
  • EPIC experience
  • Must be willing to float between units, as needed
  • Travelers may be asked to float to the main campus in Akron
