Position Overview:
The Policy Administration Professional is responsible for creating, reviewing, and maintaining a catalog of company policies and procedures. This role involves working closely with policy owners, drafting and updating documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Assignments are varied and often require interpretation, independent judgment, and decision-making with minimal direction.
Key Responsibilities:
Policy Development Support
- Draft, update, and format Medicaid policy documents in accordance with current templates and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and incorporate accurate policy content.
- Ensure all documents comply with Humana’s policy standards and federal/state guidelines.
- Develop, revise, and maintain process documentation for Medicaid operations.
- Map workflows and procedures, clearly identifying critical steps and responsibilities.
- Validate documented processes with operational teams and update as needed.
- Support the migration of legacy policy/process documents to new HIDE/FIDE templates.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and proper formatting during transitions.
- Ensure all documents adhere to internal quality audit standards and compliance requirements.
- Maintain version control and follow documentation management protocols.
- Provide status updates and seek clarification from relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address documentation gaps and incorporate feedback.
- Organize, archive, and retrieve policy and process documents.
- Track progress of documentation projects to ensure deadlines are met.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Less than 5 years of technical experience
- Progressive strategic and operational experience in a professional leadership capacity (preferably with a Fortune 100 company)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong emotional intelligence
- Passion for contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
- Strong financial acumen and comfort managing data and numbers
