The Probate Paralegal will involve preparing and organizing legal documents, managing case files, coordinating deadlines, and assisting with client communications. While the position will primarily support one attorney, the Paralegal will also collaborate on projects with other attorneys across the firm, ensuring smooth case progression from start to finish.
Probate Paralegal Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive paralegal support to assigned attorney and other team members as needed.
- Draft, review, and prepare legal documents, correspondence, and filings.
- Maintain case files, manage deadlines, and ensure timely responses to court requirements.
- Conduct legal research and assist in trial preparation.
- Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and colleagues.
- Handle confidential information with discretion.
Probate Paralegal Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Paralegal certificate preferred but not required with strong experience.
- 3–5 years’ experience in probate or asbestos law preferred; other legal specialties considered.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Comfortable commuting to both downtown Cleveland and nearby satellite offices.
