The Production Operator will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including operating various machinery and equipment, on varying shifts as required. These positions frequently demand considerable manual exertion.
Production Operator Responsibilities:
- Operate bagging or packaging equipment to maintain desired output and operating standards.
- Fill, palletize, and haul product to assigned storage.
- Perform adjustments and minor repairs to maintain production activities.
- Responsible for following production schedules and accurately reporting operational records.
- Assist in assuring the line is supplied with desired salt grades.
Production Operator Requirements:
- High school diploma, or equivalent, required.
- Ability to operate a powered industrial vehicle.
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
- Must be able to work any shift and any schedule.
- Comfortable working consistent overtime and weekends as needed.
- Constant lifting up to 65 lbs., rapid work speed, standing, and grasping.
- Frequent bending, carrying and pulling up to 65 lbs., twisting, reaching, feeling, and finger movement.
- Frequent high acuity hearing and depth perception.
- Constant noise 80dB and over.
- Frequent vibration, dryness, dust, and mechanical hazards.
- Eye protection, hearing protection, head covering, and foot protection required.
