Production Technician Overview:
The Production Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of assembly and wiring tasks related to electrical control equipment. This role includes assembling, fitting, and mounting sub-assemblies and components, preparing units for testing and inspection, and verifying electrical and mechanical integrity using established procedures. All work must meet defined quantity and quality standards. Production Technician Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and wire panelboards and/or switchboards using drawings and work instructions
  • Use hand and power tools to install components and sub-assemblies
  • Inspect and test completed units for quality and compliance
  • Perform electrical and mechanical integrity checks
  • Maintain production schedules and report material or process issues
  • Receive materials and prepare finished products for shipment
  • Follow Lean, 5S, and safety standards
  • Cross-train and support other production functions as needed
Production Technician Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of assembly experience using hand and/or power tools
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Reside within 50 miles of the work location (Active-Duty Military exempt)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience reading wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Experience with measuring tools, torque tolerances, and electrical hardware
  • Familiarity with manufacturing tools and equipment
  • Ability to lift 35 Pounds or more
