Location: Barberton, OH
Pay: , $2,214/week
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
The PCU Tele RN role is on a 24-bed Mixed Acuity unit primarily providing care for medical patients who require telemetry monitoring. Patient population could also include progressive care level patients, which include cardiovascular treatment plans involving medication drips as well as neurological patients requiring frequent NIH assessments. Nurses in this role will care for patients in a high-acuity environment, requiring strong assessment skills and the ability to respond quickly to rhythm changes. This is a fast-paced unit with ratios of 1:5 on nights.

PCU Tele RN Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care for progressive care patients.
- Perform blood draws, initiate and maintain IVs, and administer blood products.
- Manage heparin drips and other critical IV therapies.
- Interpret EKGs and recognize rhythm changes, escalating appropriately.
- Document all patient care and interventions in EPIC EMR.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Active Ohio RN license (or compact).
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required through AHA.
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR within the last year.
- Ability to manage a 1:5 patient ratio on night shift.
- Must have experience with IV starts, phlebotomy, EKG interpretation, heparin drips, and blood product administration.
