Provider Coordinator 
St. Paul, MN
Fully Onsite
3 Month Contract 


The Provider Coordinator serves as a key administrative resource for providers by supporting telephone coverage, patient chart preparation, records management, interpreter coordination, reporting, compliance, physician reimbursement, credentialing, charge capture, and other operational needs.

Provider Coordinator Responsibilities: 
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, procedures, diagnostic tests, surgeries, hospital admissions, and related services across multiple providers
  • Maintain and communicate provider schedules and calendars while documenting scheduling activities within Epic
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations as needed
  • Support scheduling workflows and administrative coordination activities
  • Manage referral, insurance, and scheduling work queues to ensure timely follow-up and resolution
  • Provide scheduling and work queue support to other AHCI departments as needed
  • Provide telephone coverage and route messages appropriately
  • Assist with department administrative support, records management, and reporting requirements
  • Prepare patient charts by reviewing records, obtaining outside documentation, and ensuring information is accurately scanned and indexed into the EMR
  • Coordinate interpreter services as needed
  • Maintain department records, manuals, and patient education materials
  • Participate in data reporting requirements and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Support physician reimbursement, credentialing, charge capture, and medical record processes as assigned
  • Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned

Provider Coordinator Qualifications: 
  • 2–5 years of experience in a medical office, healthcare scheduling, patient access, provider coordination, or healthcare administrative support role
  • Insurance verification and prior authorization experience
  • Experience managing referral, insurance, or scheduling work queues
  • Experience obtaining, reviewing, and managing medical records
  • Experience supporting multiple providers and managing complex scheduling workflows
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Oncology or specialty clinic experience
  • Epic proficiency required
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems required
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required
