The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting incoming materials and finished products to ensure compliance with company and customer specifications. This role requires attention to detail, strong measurement and documentation skills, and the ability to work effectively with internal teams to uphold quality standards.

Quality Inspector Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Inspect, test, or measure raw materials and finished products using rulers, calipers, gauges, micrometers, tape measures, or Pie tape.
  • Accept or reject products based on inspection criteria.
  • Remove and properly document non-conforming products or materials.
  • Communicate inspection results with Department Supervisors, Area Leaders, and Engineers.
  • Record inspection and test data; maintain accurate entries in the Non-Conformance (NC) Log database.
  • Follow all relevant Final Inspection and Non-Conforming Product procedures.
  • Print material certifications as required for customer orders.
  • Prepare necessary shipping documentation and package orders accordingly.
  • Operate Forklift/Tow Motor to move materials and shipments.
  • Conduct Positive Material Identification (PMI) inspections and print PMI reports.
  • Perform receiving inspections of supplier components using measuring tools and quality documentation.
  • Participate in additional training or duties as needed.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and perform other essential tasks as assigned.

Quality Inspector Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and using inspection tools.
  • Experience in inspection procedures and quality control preferred.
  • Basic computer skills required (data entry, database navigation).
  • Ability to contribute ideas and improvements through Root Cause Analysis (RFA) with plant management team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capable of bending, squatting, stooping, twisting, and kneeling.
  • Must be able to use hand tools.
  • Must pass Vision Acuity Test.
