R&D Scientist Job Summary:
The R&D Scientist will play a key role in executing lab-based clinical research studies focused on functional ingredients for hydration. This position includes responsibilities as a Biochemistry Technician, involving biological fluid handling, sample analysis, and maintenance of laboratory systems and equipment.
R&D Scientist Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory-based clinical research in support of hydration and nutrition science.
- Serve as Biochemistry Technician, overseeing the handling and analysis of biological fluid samples.
- Perform wet lab techniques such as pipetting, ELISA assays, and ion chromatography.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure adherence to research protocols and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ensure high standards in scientific integrity, safety, and compliance with research guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records and manage sample data for study reporting.
- Provide support for flexible testing schedules, including early mornings (approx. 15–20% of the time).
R&D Scientist Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (M.S.) in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience, which may include graduate research or thesis work.
- Strong skills in biofluid sample handling and analytical techniques.
- Proficient in lab operations, including ELISA, ion chromatography, and general lab instrumentation.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced, research-driven environment.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours based on research needs.
