Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Garfield Hts
FULL TIME/ PRN ROLES

Position Summary:
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you will play a key role in supporting a diverse patient population, many of whom are managing chronic respiratory disorders, critical illnesses, and related symptoms. In this vital role, you will combine your clinical expertise with a compassionate approach to care, helping patients achieve recovery or stability while making a meaningful impact on their health and quality of life. You will have the opportunity to work alongside a close-knit team of experienced RRTs in a smaller, community-focused hospital environment. Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to patients across a variety of conditions and acuity levels, including those requiring critical care.
  • Administer and monitor therapeutic procedures such as oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, aerosolized medications, airway management, and pulmonary function testing.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans.
  • Respond to emergency situations, including cardiac and respiratory arrests, providing rapid and effective intervention.
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies, equipment use, and strategies for managing chronic respiratory illnesses.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training, skill development, and quality improvement initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • Active Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of critical care experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment, problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
