About the Role
The Pursuit Engineer is a key member of our client management team, responsible for identifying, developing, and securing prospective projects in the geohazard mitigation market. This role manages opportunities from lead generation through contract award, working closely with clients, internal teams, and industry stakeholders to deliver tailored, competitive solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy best-in-class sales processes and tools to develop and implement account plans that achieve sales targets and growth objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and expand the client base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in client organizations.
- Conduct meetings, negotiations, and presentations to understand client requirements, address concerns, and propose effective solutions.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, project management, and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of our solutions and services.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify risks and opportunities.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, reports, and key account performance updates to management.
- Develop and execute account-specific strategies, including pricing, promotions, and contract negotiations.
- Resolve client issues promptly to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling based on customer needs and industry trends.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in a B2B, account-based, consultative selling environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant industry experience, with strong alignment to geohazard mitigation or related fields.
- Project management and estimating experience.
- Proven success in winning public tender/bid work.
- Experience with B2W estimating software.
- Experience using Sales CRM platforms (Salesforce, Zendesk, etc.).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; Engineer-in-Training (EIT) acceptable.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Ability to conduct field visits, including walking steep slopes and traversing geohazard sites.
- Approximately 50% company-sponsored regional travel, including customer site visits and occasional overnight trips.
