The Senior Technical Associate – Research & Development will support an interdisciplinary team focused on scaling up and commercializing product candidates within the E&I division. This role provides analytical chemistry support for organic synthesis, polymerization, and process development activities in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Senior Technical Associate – Research & Development Responsibilities
  • Perform analytical testing to support R&D and pilot-scale production of materials delivered to customers
  • Conduct analytical measurements for molecular weight characterization, residual monomer and solvent determination, unknown component identification, and purity quantification for polymers and small molecules across multiple projects
  • Meet dynamic and fast-paced business demands by delivering timely, accurate analytical results
  • Serve as an effective and collaborative member of multiple project teams, coordinating analytical work across group initiatives
  • Manage and maintain analytical laboratories, including equipment upkeep, preventive maintenance, and documentation
  • Develop and update SOPs, maintain safety documentation, and ensure a well-organized laboratory environment
  • Maintain electronic lab notebooks and generate high-quality analytical reports
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of safe laboratory practices with a commitment to ZERO incidents and injuries
  • Work safely with hazardous chemicals while adhering to established safety protocols
  • Consistently meet project goals and deadlines within aggressive timelines while managing multiple priorities effectively

Senior Technical Associate – Research & Development Qualifications:
  • BS or MS in Chemistry (or related field) with a minimum of 2 years of analytical chemistry experience; industrial experience preferred
  • Ability to multitask effectively and support multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in an R&D or pilot plant environment is a plus
  • Knowledge of organic chemistry and electronic materials
  • Proficiency with some of the following analytical techniques and instrumentation: HPLC, UPLC, LC-MS, GC, GC-MS, GPC, Karl Fischer titration, Rheometry, and UV-Vis spectroscopy
