Job Summary
The Shipping and Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading and supporting warehouse and shipping operations while ensuring full compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures. This role provides hands-on leadership for the receipt, storage, and distribution of products, supervises shipping and warehouse personnel, and ensures accurate, timely, and compliant shipment of goods to customers.

Job Summary
The Shipping and Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading and supporting warehouse and shipping operations while ensuring full compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures. This role provides hands-on leadership for the receipt, storage, and distribution of products, supervises shipping and warehouse personnel, and ensures accurate, timely, and compliant shipment of goods to customers.
Essential Responsibilities
- Build strong working relationships with the Plant Manager, management team, and operational personnel.
- Manage warehouse operations in alignment with company policies, procedures, and business objectives.
- Oversee receiving of raw materials and packaging, warehousing, and product distribution.
- Supervise shipping, receiving, and inventory activities across the plant.
- Lead and maintain an effective cycle count program.
- Ensure orders are picked accurately, properly packaged, and shipped on time.
- Design and maintain warehouse layout to ensure efficient space utilization and workflow.
- Monitor productivity and ensure warehouse performance targets are consistently achieved.
- Coordinate with customer service, suppliers, and transportation providers.
- Monitor service quality and address feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Utilize warehouse and shipping software to prioritize orders, route shipments, and manage documentation.
- Direct and support the shipping team by communicating workload expectations, monitoring progress, and maintaining safety, housekeeping, and customer requirements.
- Ensure DOT compliance for all outbound shipments.
- Direct the flow of materials and packages from preparation through final shipment.
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security policies, including awareness of ISO 9001 and RC14001 management system requirements.
- Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of ISO 9001 and RC14001 management systems.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of warehouse and/or shipping management experience.
- Demonstrated experience with ISO 9001, Bills of Lading (BOLs), Certificates of Analysis (CofAs), and FIFO order management.
- SAP experience required.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
