Software Program Manager Overview
The Software Program Manager will be responsible for leading embedded software development projects for electric vehicle (EV) technologies. This role will manage software programs from concept through production while coordinating with engineering teams, customers, and global stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet automotive quality and safety standards.

Software Program Manager Overview
The Software Program Manager will be responsible for leading embedded software development projects for electric vehicle (EV) technologies. This role will manage software programs from concept through production while coordinating with engineering teams, customers, and global stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet automotive quality and safety standards.
Software Program Manager Responsibilities
- Lead embedded software development projects for automotive EV products.
- Manage project schedules, milestones, budgets, and deliverables.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, systems, and testing engineers.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for OEM customers and lead project meetings.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Ensure compliance with automotive standards such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE.
- Support Agile/Scrum activities, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Manage software change requests and coordinate project timing with hardware development.
- Provide regular project updates to leadership and customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of project management experience supporting embedded software development.
- Strong knowledge of embedded software development processes and project management.
- Familiarity with ISO 26262, Automotive SPICE (ASPICE), Power BI, and software development lifecycles.
- Experience with Microsoft Project and PowerPoint preferred.
- Automotive embedded software development.
- Functional safety and quality management systems.
- Requirements, configuration, and change management tools.
- Software testing, validation, and verification processes.
- Experience within the automotive industry is preferred.
