We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Specialty Chemical Data Steward (SCDS) to support our Global Product Stewardship (GPS) efforts by ensuring comprehensive and accurate data collection for raw material disclosures. This role plays a key part in managing data related to botanical/natural substances and polymers, and works cross-functionally to ensure product safety, compliance, and regulatory alignment.
Specialty Chemical Data Steward Responsibilities
- Obtain raw material disclosures from manufacturers, including materials that contain botanical/natural substances and polymers.
- Execute and manage assigned tasks and assessments in the EPASS (Enovia ? PASS) system related to R&D requests to GPS.
- Build and release Substance Regulatory Information (SRI) records in the PASS system upon receiving complete data.
- Perform Data Steward (DS) Assessments for all A3/A4 New Raw Material Qualification (NRQ) tasks assigned.
- Collaborate with OU GPS teams and FiD B3 groups to evaluate the sufficiency of incoming data.
- Follow and support the Botanical/Natural Substance FiD and Polymer FiD work processes, ensuring required data elements, documentation, and system connections are complete and accurate.
- May be responsible for creating Product Numbers (PNs) as needed.
Specialty Chemical Data Steward Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, or a related field such as Chemistry with Botany/Zoology focus.
- Technical understanding of raw material information forms and associated regulatory documentation.
- Expertise in chemistry, including polymer and botanical data requirements.
- Strong proficiency in Enovia and the SRI tool for raw material research and data entry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information.
- Leadership skills to conduct daily meetings, track progress, and drive next steps with stakeholders.
- Confidence to escalate issues to management when needed to ensure project momentum.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functional areas, including GPS, R&D, and Operational Units (OUs).
- Highly organized, analytical, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
