What You’ll Do
- Coordinate with Operations regarding material movement needs (kit pulls, kanban, milk runs, cycle counts, and inventory transactions) to ensure timely delivery to the shop floor and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Perform material management activities using SAP and follow certified operator system procedures.
- Learn and adapt to other stockroom and inventory functions as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using SAP and other computer systems.
- Conduct cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies for inventory accuracy.
- Handle materials: receive, repackage, transact, count, and stock parts both in the main stockroom and on the manufacturing floor.
- Count, weigh, or measure incoming items to verify them against invoices or other shipping records.
- Inspect and unpack incoming shipments; report and document shortages or damages.
- Route received items to appropriate departments or teams.
- Ensure incoming shipments meet company and quality specifications.
- Check in inbound inventory and process items for delivery to the manufacturing floor.
- Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Sort, count, and identify materials; use Oracle and SAP systems to maintain inventory records.
- Verify and log all receipts per company procedures.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in receiving documentation.
- Assist with recycling efforts for materials in both Receiving and Stockroom.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide stockroom and receiving information.
- Ensure all received documents and materials comply with company policy.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently and stand, kneel, bend, reach, and climb ladders as needed.
- Experience with inventory management systems (SAP or other MRP systems).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Basic math and computer skills for accurate data entry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot independently.
