Structural Materials Engineer Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to secure concrete-related specifications and projects.
- Provide technical support, structural analysis, and design assistance for innovative high-performance concrete technologies.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and R&D teams to create supporting materials that highlight the effectiveness and benefits of our products, reinforcing our leadership position and specification efforts.
- Build and nurture relationships within the Architecture/Engineering community and actively participate in industry groups such as ACI, ASTM International, PCI, NPCA, and NCSEA.
- Engage in promotional activities, including in-person events and webinars, to demonstrate industry leadership and promote adoption of new product specifications.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering; EIT or PE licensure is preferred
- Experience in the construction industry with a focus on concrete design and technologies
- Proven ability to collaborate across functions and work effectively with teams
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed (less than 20%)
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
- Familiarity with current industry standards, trends, and regulations related to concrete and construction
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Strong business acumen with the capacity to identify growth opportunities
- Proficiency in various computer applications
