The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for providing comprehensive hardware, software, and network support for site operations. This role partners closely with geographically diverse teams and end users to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues while ensuring local systems align with enterprise digital, security, and manufacturing IT standards. The engineer owns incidents through resolution, escalates when appropriate, and maintains clear communication with leadership regarding issue status and impact.

The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for providing comprehensive hardware, software, and network support for site operations. This role partners closely with geographically diverse teams and end users to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues while ensuring local systems align with enterprise digital, security, and manufacturing IT standards. The engineer owns incidents through resolution, escalates when appropriate, and maintains clear communication with leadership regarding issue status and impact.
Technical Support Engineer Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day hardware, software, and network technical support
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues across local applications and infrastructure
- Own incidents from identification through resolution; escalate complex issues as needed
- Work effectively with geographically diverse teams and end users
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and issue logs
- Keep leadership informed of issue status, risks, and resolutions
- Manage back-office IT tasks, including:
- Network monitoring
- Anti-virus management
- System deployments
- Server support
- Software updates and patching
Technical Support Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field
- Manufacturing IT technical and programming experience
- End-to-end understanding of local digital solutions supporting POH/DTC site operations
- Understanding of information security requirements and how they apply to local applications
- Working knowledge of SQL databases
- Experience developing code in Python
- Experience leveraging KNIME to extract and analyze data from a corporate data lake
- Strong customer service mindset
- Positive, solutions-oriented approach to problem solving
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
- Strong communication and documentation skills
