We are seeking an experienced Test Support Technician to provide advanced technical support to one or more project teams. This role supports testing activities from early concept phases through Risk Reduction Testing (RRT) and Verification & Validation (V&V). The ideal candidate is highly analytical, technically versatile, and comfortable supporting multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Test Support Technician Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support within a primary technical discipline (Mechanical, QA, V&V, etc.), with strong focus on Risk Reduction Testing (RRT) and Verification & Validation (V&V) testing
- Apply a broad range of analytical and technical tools to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, including Instron testing
- Utilize skills in a secondary technical discipline to enhance cross-functional collaboration and project success
- Support testing efforts from concept development through V&V and post-V&V activities as needed
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize tasks effectively, and plan daily work to meet timelines
- Develop creative, compliant solutions to challenging technical problems
- Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, technicians, vendors, and suppliers
- Provide technical guidance to designers and technicians, which may include training, mentoring, or coaching
- May take a lead role in selected technical activities
- Provide input into recruiting and team selection activities as needed
Support Technician Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED — Required
- Associate’s Degree or 2-year trade/military school — Preferred
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills within a technical discipline — Required
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and deliver creative solutions — Required
- Minimum 5 years of designing/drafting or relevant technical experience — Preferred
