Job Summary:
The Test Technician tests products and maintains test machinery and equipment under the direction of Test Engineering. The role performs tests, fabricates setups, and evaluates mechanical and hydraulic components to ensure product performance meets customer requirements.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Review project instructions and blueprints to determine test specifications, procedures, objectives, and required equipment.
  • Perform testing in accordance with specifications, including setup, equipment adjustments, and data/sample storage.
  • Draft detailed drawings or sketches as needed for fabrication of test equipment or setup components.
  • Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies for products such as industrial equipment, power equipment, servo systems, machine tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Set up and conduct tests of hydraulic components to evaluate product performance and support customer requirements.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum of 2 years of equivalent experience or 4 years of experience in a technical/laboratory setting without a degree or certification.

Position Criteria:
  • Knowledge of test equipment operation, machine hydraulics, data acquisition, and inspection equipment.
  • High degree of mechanical aptitude.
  • Broad knowledge of test machines and instruments.
  • General understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Ability to read prints and perform dimensional inspections.
  • Effective use of current technology and willingness to learn new technology.
  • Basic math, graph reading, and calculation skills required.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with PC-based control systems.
  • Familiarity with measurement/data acquisition systems, instrumentation wiring, and documentation.

  • This position requires access to information and/or hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
