Environmental Services Linen Aide is responsible for ensuring the accurate preparation, delivery, and replenishment of hospital linens and scrubs. This role involves handling, sorting, packing, and transporting linens while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Check linen requests for accuracy; count and inspect linens for damage or stains.
• Resolve issues with incomplete deliveries, purchasing, or requisitions.
• Process receiving documentation on the computer.
• Prepare linens for delivery by sorting, labeling, and packing appropriately.
• Replenish linens on exchange carts and scrubs on shelving, ensuring neat and organized stacking to required par levels.
• Collect dirty linens from chutes and designated areas for cleaning.
• Unpack bulk bins of scrubs and place items on shelving by size (expectation: 4–5 carts packed per hour).
• Secure and stage carts for delivery.
• Prepare and pack ISO gowns daily (expectation: 4–5 bags per day).
• Report any problems with orders, equipment, or processes to supervisor.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards in all work areas.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good verbal communication skills for team coordination and problem-solving.
• Physical ability to walk, bend, twist, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs; must be able to stand for 90% of the shift.
• Ability to safely push or pull heavy linen carts.
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks.
• Basic ability to use office/computer equipment for processing documentation.
