Position Title: X-Ray Technologist (Radiologic Technologist)
Location: Akron, OH
Shift: Day and Evening Shifts with Flexible Scheduling, Including Potential Weekend Assignments
Bi-Weekly Pay: $2,160 – $3,120+ (commensurate with experience)
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $5,000 for Full-Time (paid progressively) and $2,500 for Part-Time roles

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while minimizing patient radiation exposure.
  • Prepare and position patients with care, providing safety instructions to ensure comfort and optimal image capture.
  • Adjust technical settings such as kilovoltage (kV), milliamperage (mA), and film type to produce clear, accurate images.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs of radiology equipment to ensure continuous operational efficiency.
  • Strictly adhere to safety protocols, infection control standards, and keep the radiology areas clean and organized.
  • Accurately input and manage patient and imaging data within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Support the training and supervision of radiology students during clinical rotations, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
  • Pursue ongoing education and training to maintain departmental competencies and stay current with the latest imaging techniques and safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (AAS or BS degree preferred).
  • Current registration as a Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(R)) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Valid Ohio state license in Radiology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience as a general radiologic technologist.
  • Experience in trauma, emergency, or surgical imaging is a plus.

Physical & Professional Standards

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously during shifts.
  • Capacity to lift and reposition patients (up to 50 lbs) and manipulate imaging equipment effectively.
  • Ability to respond quickly and efficiently in emergency and trauma scenarios.
