Brand Manager
Lisle, IL
The Brand Manager, Strategy & Governance will play a critical role in executing and sustaining the enterprise brand strategy. Reporting to the Enterprise Brand Lead, this position is responsible for managing brand governance processes, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, and supporting performance measurement efforts that drive consistent brand execution across the organization.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized project manager with strong operational skills and the ability to translate strategic direction into effective execution. This individual will oversee governance activities, facilitate collaboration across multiple teams, maintain project plans and reporting tools, and ensure brand initiatives are delivered on time and aligned with enterprise objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the enterprise brand strategy by translating established priorities into actionable plans, measurable deliverables, and consistent execution across the organization.
- Manage the day-to-day administration of brand governance forums, committees, and working groups, including meeting coordination, agenda development, documentation, decision tracking, action item management, and follow-up communications.
- Maintain and promote brand frameworks, standards, and review processes established by leadership, ensuring all brand-related initiatives follow approved governance procedures.
- Facilitate the intake, review, and routing of brand-related work through established approval processes.
- Lead the execution of brand initiatives and programs directed by the Enterprise Brand Lead, ensuring projects remain on schedule and aligned with brand objectives.
- Develop and manage project timelines, deliverables, issue resolution activities, and stakeholder communications across internal teams and external partners.
- Identify execution risks, process gaps, and operational challenges, escalating concerns when appropriate and recommending practical solutions to improve workflow efficiency.
- Support the transition of brand management activities into internal processes, including coordination with external agencies and strategic partners.
- Coordinate brand-related efforts across communications, marketing, digital, product, customer experience, design, and other business functions.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure brand consistency across initiatives and touchpoints.
- Foster alignment among cross-functional teams while supporting execution within a matrixed organizational structure.
- Implement and maintain established measurement frameworks, dashboards, and reporting tools used to monitor brand health, adoption, compliance, and business impact.
- Gather, analyze, and synthesize information from multiple sources to create executive-level presentations, reports, and status updates.
- Track key performance indicators and communicate progress, insights, and recommendations to leadership.
- Coordinate internal brand education and change management initiatives, including training programs, workshops, communication materials, and toolkits designed to increase brand adoption.
- Support the implementation of environmental branding standards across company locations and dealership environments.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure consistent brand execution across customer-facing spaces, including facilities, signage, dealership touchpoints, and other physical brand experiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Design Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in brand management, communications, marketing, project management, program management, design operations, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating complex, cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
- Experience working within governance structures, operational frameworks, or established business processes.
- Experience collaborating with creative teams, agencies, brand systems, customer experience initiatives, or design-related functions preferred.
- Familiarity with environmental branding, retail environments, dealership standards, facility branding, or physical brand implementation is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management/workflow tools.
- Experience working within a brand strategy agency or corporate brand management function is preferred.
