Buyer/Planner Responsibilities
- Manages the global supply process for all goods and services. Coordinates all activities involved with continuous replenishment of assigned items
- Maintains and optimizes ERP system (SAP) data
- On time delivery of materials, components and outsourced finished goods
- Effective collaboration and communication with Suppliers, Global Sourcing Agents and Managers as well as Supply Chain leaders to outline and fulfill forecasts, orders and demand
- Places and maintains purchase orders per vendor confirmation; ensures POs are received and processed by the vendor in a manner timely enough to meet company requirements
- Maintains timely and accurate SAP system information as it relates to lead times, purchase order maintenance, delivery dates, releases and lot sizes for assigned items
- Manages and communicates material shortages in a timely manner
Buyer/Planner Requirements
- Minimum two years’ planning or procurement experience required
- Full MS Office suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook required
- APICS certification helpful but not required
- SAP experience strongly desired; if no SAP experience, other ERP system knowledge required
