HR Specialist Overview:
The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for supporting a wide range of human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, training, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws and company policies. This position plays a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture while supporting effective workforce management and organizational success.
HR Specialist Responsibilities:
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
- Support employee relations by addressing employee concerns and assisting with workplace issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate employee training and professional development programs.
- Assist with performance management processes.
- Prepare HR reports and analyze workforce data.
- Facilitate employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee changes.
- Assist with planning and organizing company events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. Significant related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proven experience in Human Resources or a related role.
- Working knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and HR best practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with HR software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong customer service orientation and collaborative mindset.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Human Resources certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR.
- Familiarity with job posting platforms, payroll processes, and benefits administration.
