Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
Location: Middleburg Heights, OH
Schedule: Nights / 7 pm- 7:30 am (3x12s)
Contract Length: 13 weeks with possibility of extension
Pay: $2,232/Week
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse specializes in caring for pregnant patients before, during, and immediately after childbirth. They play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of both the mother and baby.
Labor and Delivery RN Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery unit, including assessments, medication administration, and monitoring vital signs
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on care needs and discharge planning
- Document patient care and maintain accurate records in compliance with facility standards
- Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and participate in emergency interventions
- Float required between Labor and Delivery, Maternal Special Care, Postpartum
Labor and Delivery RN Requirements:
- Active OH or compact Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certs
- Every third weekend & every other holiday rotation
