The Materials Planner will join the material planning team at the manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of materials throughout the production cycle while coordinating closely with purchasing, production, and engineering teams.
Materials Planner Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle.
- Determine material requirements based on engineering and production schedules.
- Coordinate the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, and engineering teams.
- Develop specifications for new contract orders.
- Enter and maintain procurement business system data, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Create and maintain bills of material, parts numbers, and commodity numbers within supply chain management and other enterprise-wide systems.
- Support overall material planning and supply chain activities within a manufacturing environment.
Materials Planner Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with no prior experience, OR
- 2+ years of shop order planning and purchasing experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Manufacturing or material planning experience is preferred.
