The Operations Performance Specialist will work closely with plant leadership, operations, material management, supply chain, engineering, finance, and continuous improvement teams to transform operational data into actionable insights that support decision-making and drive measurable business results.
Operations Performance Specialist Responsibilities
- Develop analytical tools and models to evaluate manufacturing capacity, bottlenecks, constraints, and throughput opportunities
- Establish realistic production targets and capacity plans based on labor, equipment, material availability, and operational requirements
- Analyze demand, productivity, inventory, and order fulfillment data to identify opportunities to improve service levels, backlog, schedule attainment, and on-time delivery
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, scorecards, and performance reports that provide actionable insights to plant and operations leadership
- Automate manual reporting processes and establish standardized operational metrics and performance measurement systems across manufacturing sites
- Utilize SAP, Excel, SQL, and other analytical tools to collect, manage, and analyze operational data while ensuring data accuracy and integrity
- Apply statistical analysis, trend analysis, and root cause analysis to identify performance gaps, variation, constraints, and improvement opportunities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through data collection, performance measurement analysis, and tracking of corrective actions
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, materials management, supply chain, engineering, finance, and continuous improvement teas to drive measurable business results
- Translate complex operational data into clear, actionable recommendations that support leadership decision-making and improve manufacturing performance
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field
- 1-5 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, business analytics, data analytics, or related
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex operational data and identify practical improvement opportunities
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations through data analysis, reporting, or performance improvement initiatives
- Advanced SAP experience
- Experience partnering with plant leadership, operations, materials management, and supply chain teams
