Title: R&D Laboratory Technician
Location: Indianola, PA
Pay Rate: $22 - 25/ per hour
Position Summary
The R&D Laboratory Technician provides technical support for research and development projects by assisting with hardware testing, troubleshooting, system upgrades, and product validation activities. This position works closely with engineers, designers, and technicians to support product development efforts from concept through verification and validation. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced technical environment.
Responsibilities
Support hardware testing, troubleshooting, and system upgrades for research and development projects.
Assist with product development activities from concept through verification and validation (V&V) testing.
Perform hands-on testing and evaluation of components, assemblies, and systems to ensure performance requirements are met.
Package systems, equipment, and components for domestic and international shipment in accordance with company procedures.
Document test activities, observations, and results accurately and maintain organized project records.
Troubleshoot technical issues and assist in identifying root causes and corrective actions.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, technicians, and other cross-functional team members to support project objectives.
Develop creative solutions to technical challenges while adhering to established protocols and procedures.
Prioritize and manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously to meet project deadlines.
Support laboratory organization, equipment maintenance, and general operational activities.
Adhere to company safety policies, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Participate in special projects and additional assignments as directed by leadership.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate degree, technical certification, military technical training, or equivalent trade school education preferred.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical abilities.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical and equipment-related issues.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and effectively prioritize tasks.
Quick learner with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
Proficiency with standard computer applications and technical documentation practices.
Experience working in laboratory, manufacturing, engineering, or technical environments preferred.
