Radiologic Technologist
Cleveland, OH

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, on hospital patients across inpatient, outpatient, and Emergency Department settings. The Technologist ensures high-quality imaging while providing safe, compassionate patient care and following established department and hospital protocols.
Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations on inpatient, outpatient, and Emergency Department patients
- Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Perform portable/mobile X-ray examinations throughout the hospital
- Assist with fluoroscopy procedures and surgical imaging as needed
- Verify patient identification, exam orders, and relevant clinical information prior to procedures
- Position patients appropriately while maintaining patient comfort and safety
- Follow radiation safety and ALARA principles
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies
- Participate in scheduled holidays and other coverage as required
- Complete facility-specific orientation and training
Radiologic Technologist Requirements:
- Current Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Radiologic Technologist license
- ARRT certification/registration
- Current BLS certification
- Previous experience working as a Radiographer/Radiologic Technologist
- Hospital-based radiography experience required
- Experience performing diagnostic X-rays in inpatient, outpatient, and Emergency Department settings
- Experience with portable imaging required
- Fluoroscopy and/or surgical imaging experience preferred
- Strong patient-care, communication, and organizational skills
