The Chemist will receive, identify and prepare samples for testing. They will ensure incoming samples are labeled correctly, appropriate analytical have been requested, prep and analyze samples according to ISO work instructions.

The Chemist will receive, identify and prepare samples for testing. They will ensure incoming samples are labeled correctly, appropriate analytical have been requested, prep and analyze samples according to ISO work instructions.
Chemist Responsibilities:
- Prioritization of analyses according to customer needs matched to capacity.
- Organization and coordination of projects in a high throughput lab environment.
- Obtaining analytical data.
- Ensuring data integrity.
- Functioning in multi-discipline teams and delivering laboratory results in an efficient manner.
- Completing testing such as but not limited to: total combustion analysis, alorimetry, Gas Chromatography (GC), NIR Spectroscopy, NMR
Chemist Requirements:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering field such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology or a related field. Directly applicable experience will be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
- 1-3 years of experience.
- hands-on experience with total combustion analysis, elemental analysis, calorimetry, Gas Chromatography (GC), NIR Spectroscopy, NMR, total oil analysis, colorimetry, falling number, farinograph, mixograph, bench-top wet chemical analyses.
- LIMS and the Microsoft Office Suite
