The Electrical Supervisor will lead electrical maintenance operations for the plant and is responsible for overseeing the electrical maintenance team and site TPM strategy. This role partners closely with Operations leadership to ensure plant equipment and systems are maintained in a safe, efficient, and reliable manner, while also supporting reliability improvements, equipment strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Electrical Supervisor Responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical maintenance operations while promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and workplace standards.
  • Develop and maintain risk assessments, monitor safety metrics, and ensure timely completion of safety incident reports and action plans.
  • Oversee routine electrical maintenance, preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and reliability improvements for plant equipment and power systems.
  • Build and support craft training plans, continuous learning, and employee engagement for the unionized electrical maintenance workforce.
  • Serve as a technical resource for the insulation manufacturing process, equipment, and protocols, including DCS control systems, high-voltage equipment, PLC applications, AC/DC line drives, process instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
  • Apply strong troubleshooting skills, identify reliability and cost improvement opportunities, and develop/manage project work as needed.
  • Lead and drive the TPM strategy while fostering a work environment built on trust, respect, teamwork, and open communication.
  • Partner with Production to improve machine performance and employee efficiency and ensure supervisory practices align with the facility collective agreement and grievance resolution process.

Electrical Supervisor Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with an electrical focus.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline or a technology diploma, preferably in electrical maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing experience is highly desired, and CMRP certification is preferred.
  • Ability to engage employees at all levels, manage multiple priorities and projects, and lead union hourly employees.
  • Ability to make fact-based and data-driven decisions, including analyzing data and interpreting graphs.
  • Ability to drive change, communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, and work effectively in both team-based and hands-on environments.
