Maintenance Specialist

Pay:
The Maintenance Specialist will support the manufacturing teams and maintenance departments. The Maintenance Specialist will troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems/equipment. This role will maintain and support PLC, HMI, and PC-based electrical-controlled systems, equipment, and machinery. The Maintenance Specialist will also perform preventative maintenance tasks, complete design and build activities, and perform minor project work.

The Maintenance Specialist will troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems/equipment. This role will maintain and support PLC, HMI, and PC-based electrical-controlled systems, equipment, and machinery. The Maintenance Specialist will also perform preventative maintenance tasks, complete design and build activities, and perform minor project work.
Maintenance Specialist Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, extrusion lines, facility systems, and electrical distribution equipment to maximize uptime and productivity
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, PLC, HMI, PC-based control systems, AC/DC drives, and machine controls
- Program, modify, install, and support PLC hardware, software, and automated control systems, coordinating with outside vendors when necessary
- Design, troubleshoot, and modify electrical control circuits, including standard and safety circuits
- Inspect, test, and verify equipment performance after repairs to ensure safe and reliable operation
- Perform basic fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly to repair or manufacture replacement components as needed
- Utilize the CMMS system to manage work orders, document maintenance activities, track labor, and record parts usage
- Conduct root cause failure analysis, update equipment documentation, and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S activities, shift handoffs, and collaboration with production and maintenance teams
- Follow all safety policies and applicable regulations, maintain personal tools, work overtime as needed, and perform other duties as assigned
- 10+ years of experience with industrial maintenance or an Associate's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Industrial Maintenance or a state-approved apprenticeship program
- Certified in Allen-Bradley PLC, HMI, and AC/DC drive training courses
- Experience with NEC, OSHA, and EPA standards
- Experience with NFPA 70B & 70E
- MIG, TIG, and stick welding experience
- Knowledge of plastic compounding technology
- Obtain the ability to lift 55 lbs
