The Test Engineer will work with engineering instrumentation and data acquisition systems while ensuring testing activities comply with applicable quality, regulatory, and documentation requirements.
Test Engineer Responsibilities
- Define, plan, and perform product and component testing in accordance with engineering requirements and applicable standards.
- Develop, document, and implement testing procedures, validation methods, and test documentation.
- Operate and apply engineering instrumentation and data acquisition systems to collect accurate test data.
- Analyze and interpret test results to support engineering decisions and product development activities.
- Identify product performance issues, investigate test failures, and assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support engineering teams with verification and validation activities throughout the product lifecycle.
- Ensure testing activities and documentation meet applicable quality, regulatory, and industry requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives involving testing methods, procedures, equipment, and overall operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and achieve project objectives.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate test results, findings, and recommendations clearly through written reports and verbal presentations.
- Work under general supervision while providing guidance or mentorship to less-experienced team members as appropriate.
- Support the organization's operating model through operational excellence, continuous improvement, collaboration, and customer focus.
Test Engineer Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 2–4 years of testing, validation, or engineering experience, preferably within an aerospace, manufacturing, or other highly regulated environment.
- Solid knowledge of engineering testing methodologies, standards, and procedures.
- Proficiency with data acquisition systems, engineering instrumentation, and test equipment.
- Understanding of engineering verification and validation processes.
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical test data and translate findings into actionable engineering recommendations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
