The Epic Ambulatory Specialist will provide hands-on support to clinicians, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare staff using the Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR). This role will serve as an immediate point of contact for end users, providing real-time guidance, troubleshooting, workflow assistance, and education to help ensure a smooth Epic experience and minimize disruptions to clinical operations.

Epic Ambulatory Specialist Responsibilities
- Provide at-the-elbow support to clinicians, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare staff using Epic
- Assist end users with navigating and utilizing Epic Inpatient and Epic Ambulatory workflows
- Provide real-time education and coaching to users on Epic functionality and best practices
- Troubleshoot user questions and workflow issues and provide appropriate solutions or escalate when necessary
- Observe clinical workflows and identify opportunities to improve Epic adoption and efficiency
- Assist users with documentation, order entry, chart review, medication workflows, and other Epic-related activities as applicable
- Reinforce established Epic workflows and organizational procedures
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff, project teams, application analyst, educators, and leadership
- Identify recurring issues and provide feedback to project and application teams
- Support go-live activities, workflow transitions, system upgrades, and other Epic initiatives as needed
- Maintain a professional and approachable presence while working directly with clinical staff
- Help minimize workflow disruption by providing timely, hands-on assistance during Epic use
- High school diploma or relevant
- Experience with Epic inpatient education
- Experience with Epic Ambulatory education
- Experience with at-the-elbow support
- Ability to work directly with physicians, nurses, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and explain technical concepts in a clear, user-friendly manner
