Lead IT Associate Project Managers are responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing information technology projects, balancing business value, cost, schedule, and quality. They will acquire project resources and coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party resources to deliver projects according to plan. They will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Directs and manages IT project development and delivery from beginning to end.
  • Facilitates project scope definition in collaboration with project sponsors.
  • Develops IT project plans and associated communications documents and collaborates with an array of stakeholders, teams, and vendors to ensure the needed resources are available for project success.
  • Develops and implements strategies to deliver projects according to business objectives and find improvements in the project lifecycle to deliver value sooner.
  • Guides project through portions of the governance process.
  • Drafts and submits budget proposals and recommends subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Influences project team members to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
    Works closely with the direct managers of project team members to maintain effective communication channels and ensure the appropriate development of individuals involved in the project.
    Builds, develops, and grows relationships vital to the success of the project.
Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional technology initiatives from initiation through implementation and operational transition.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is adaptable to changing priorities, business needs, and organizational direction.
  • Comfortable working in complex Information Technology environments, with the ability to partner across technical and business teams to deliver strategic initiatives.
  • Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications while ensuring alignment to strategic business objectives.
  • Experience partnering with IT Operations teams to support the delivery, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise technology services.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with technical operations teams to identify risks, manage dependencies, and ensure successful implementation of technology initiatives.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to execute project objectives to completion and motivate others to complete deliverables and meet project expectations
  • Demonstrated success building relationships and coaching others.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience utilizing methodologies including Waterfall, Hybrid, Agile, Scrum, Kanban and Lean Leadership mindset
  • Knowledge of industry standards, project management methodologies and software development methodologies (e.g., ISO 9000, ITIL, PRINCE2, PMBOK)
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in leading or facilitating projects in application development, infrastructure, process, or similar areas is required.
  • {OR} Bachelor's Degree or higher in a Business or Technical discipline (e.g., Business Administration, Communications, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Project Management) and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in leadership or in leading or facilitating projects in an application development, infrastructure, process, or similar areas.
