The Radiology Scheduler coordinates imaging appointments such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and mammograms. The role involves scheduling patients, verifying orders and insurance information, coordinating with radiology departments and clinical staff, answering patient questions, and ensuring appointments are scheduled accurately and efficiently.

The Radiology Scheduler coordinates imaging appointments such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and mammograms. The role involves scheduling patients, verifying orders and insurance information, coordinating with radiology departments and clinical staff, answering patient questions, and ensuring appointments are scheduled accurately and efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedule diagnostic imaging appointments across modalities that may include CT, MRI, X-ray, Echo, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, and PET/CT.
- Coordinate patient appointments accurately using Epic/Excellian and applicable scheduling workflows.
- Review scheduling information and orders to support accurate appointment placement.
- Communicate with patients and internal clinical teams regarding scheduling needs.
- Apply medical terminology when reviewing and coordinating imaging appointments.
- Support prior authorization-related scheduling workflows when applicable.
- Manage a high-volume scheduling workload while maintaining accuracy and timely processing.
- Support the Diagnostic Services team with additional scheduling-related responsibilities as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year of radiology/imaging scheduling experience.
- Experience scheduling diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Ability to work in a high-volume scheduling environment.
- Epic/Excellian Radiant experience is highly preferred.
- Medical terminology knowledge is strongly preferred.
- Prior authorization experience is preferred.
