Technical Writer

The Technical Writer will create, edit, and maintain technical documentation for the company's products. This role will work closely with service engineering, engineering, manufacturing, compliance, product management, and subject-matter experts to ensure documentation is accurate, clear, and easy to use.

The Technical Writer will create, edit, and maintain technical documentation for the company's products. This role will work closely with service engineering, engineering, manufacturing, compliance, product management, and subject-matter experts to ensure documentation is accurate, clear, and easy to use.
Technical Writer Responsibilities:
- Create and update user manuals, technical specifications, service methods, repair times, interactive schematics, and help guides.
- Gather and validate technical information from engineering and other internal teams.
- Write clear documentation for both technical and non-technical users.
- Maintain technical-document repositories and ensure content follows established style and formatting guidelines.
- Perform copy editing, proofreading, fact-checking, and document-quality reviews.
- Create or support technical illustrations and visuals as needed.
- Keep documentation current as products, service procedures, and specifications change.
- Experience in technical writing, technical publications, service documentation, or a similar role.
- Required experience using Arbortext software.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret technical information and work effectively with engineers and subject-matter experts.
- Experience with manufacturing, automotive, engineering, industrial equipment, or service-related documentation is preferred.
- Must be able to work on-site in Woodridge, IL.
