Position Summary
The Bioinformatics Technician will support Regulatory Science by improving workflows through automation, data management, and software solutions. This role will identify process improvements, develop proof-of-concept tools, and help scale successful solutions.
The technician will collaborate with scientific, regulatory, and IT teams to deliver accurate, accessible, and efficient solutions. Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and AI-enabled automation tools is preferred.
Bioinformatics Technician Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of technology solutions that improve Regulatory Science workflows and processes.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive, manual, and data-intensive activities.
  • Design, test, document, troubleshoot, and deploy workflow automation solutions.
  • Use Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps, to develop and scale business process automation.
  • Translate scientific and regulatory workflow requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate current processes and identify opportunities for greater efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Develop proof-of-concept applications and support the transition of successful concepts into production environments.
  • Leverage AI-enabled software development and automation tools to accelerate solution development and implementation.
  • Work with scientific and regulatory datasets to support analysis, organization, quality, accessibility, and workflow optimization.
  • Assist with data integration between systems and applications where appropriate.
  • Maintain documentation for automation solutions, workflows, processes, testing, and technical requirements.
  • Monitor implemented solutions and recommend enhancements based on user feedback and changing business needs.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies in artificial intelligence, automation, bioinformatics, data management, and low-code/no-code development.
  • Ensure solutions meet applicable data quality, security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Bioinformatics Technician Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics, Biology, Biotechnology, or a related scientific or technical field.
  • Experience working with scientific, biological, laboratory, regulatory, or other structured datasets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
