Bioinformatics Technician Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of technology solutions that improve Regulatory Science workflows and processes.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive, manual, and data-intensive activities.
- Design, test, document, troubleshoot, and deploy workflow automation solutions.
- Use Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps, to develop and scale business process automation.
- Translate scientific and regulatory workflow requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate current processes and identify opportunities for greater efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
- Develop proof-of-concept applications and support the transition of successful concepts into production environments.
- Leverage AI-enabled software development and automation tools to accelerate solution development and implementation.
- Work with scientific and regulatory datasets to support analysis, organization, quality, accessibility, and workflow optimization.
- Assist with data integration between systems and applications where appropriate.
- Maintain documentation for automation solutions, workflows, processes, testing, and technical requirements.
- Monitor implemented solutions and recommend enhancements based on user feedback and changing business needs.
- Stay current with emerging technologies in artificial intelligence, automation, bioinformatics, data management, and low-code/no-code development.
- Ensure solutions meet applicable data quality, security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics, Biology, Biotechnology, or a related scientific or technical field.
- Experience working with scientific, biological, laboratory, regulatory, or other structured datasets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
