Construction Lab Technician Overview
The Construction Lab Technician is responsible for performing laboratory testing on construction materials to support quality assurance, compliance, and engineering projects. Based out of the Brunswick/South Cleveland office, this role conducts testing on soils, concrete, aggregates, asphalt, and masonry materials, ensuring accurate results and maintaining compliance with industry standards. The Construction Lab Technician works closely with engineers, contractors, and project teams to provide reliable data that supports successful project outcomes.

Construction Lab Technician Overview

The Construction Lab Technician works closely with engineers, contractors, and project teams to provide reliable data that supports successful project outcomes.
Construction Lab Technician Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing on soil samples to determine properties such as particle size distribution, compaction characteristics, and strength.
- Conduct testing and analysis of concrete, aggregates, asphalt, and masonry materials.
- Accurately document test results and prepare clear, detailed reports.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing.
- Follow established laboratory procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Prepare and handle samples in accordance with testing requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project teams to provide testing data and technical support.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience performing laboratory testing on construction materials, including soils, concrete, aggregates, asphalt, or masonry.
- Familiarity with laboratory testing procedures and documentation practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record and report test data.
- Ability to operate and maintain laboratory testing equipment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to lift over 30lbs.
- ACI Compressive Strength Certification
- Nuclear Gauge Certification (Troxler 3241-C or equivalent)
- ODOT Asphalt Level II Certification
- NICET Certification
