Senior Project Manager
Avon, OH

The Senior Project Management Contractor supports a complex aerospace New Product Introduction program. This individual will lead schedule recovery and planning efforts, align parts and material readiness with key program milestones, evaluate cost and financial performance, manage program risks, and provide coaching to the internal project management team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in aerospace or defense project management, Integrated Master Scheduling, Earned Value Management, and preparing programs for major design reviews.
Senior Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, rebuild, and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), including dependencies, critical path, milestone logic, and resource assumptions.
- Develop an integrated baseline schedule supporting engineering, procurement, manufacturing, testing, certification, and Critical Design Review activities.
- Assess bills of materials, long-lead components, procurement timing, and material readiness; develop critical-parts tracking tools.
- Identify, document, and mitigate technical, schedule, financial, and supply-chain risks while maintaining an updated program risk register.
- Participate in cross-functional technical, supplier, and program meetings; incorporate scope changes and technical decisions into the project schedule.
- Reconcile program spend and perform Earned Value Management analysis, including ETC and EAC forecasting.
- Prepare weekly project status updates, schedule-variance reviews, financial reporting, and executive-level briefings.
- Document processes, schedules, financial tools, risk registers, and tracking methods; provide knowledge transfer and coaching to internal PM staff.
- 8+ years of senior project or program management experience in aerospace, defense, aviation, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience developing, recovering, or managing complex Integrated Master Schedules for product-development or hardware programs.
- Strong knowledge of critical-path scheduling, Earned Value Management, ETC/EAC forecasting, and program cost tracking.
- Experience with aerospace parts planning, long-lead material management, procurement coordination, and supply-chain risk mitigation.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and technical discussions across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, finance, and testing.
