The Project Manager will coordinate customers, sales, engineering, operations, vendors, and internal support teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet customer requirements.
Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage customer projects from purchase order acceptance through production, shipment, and closeout.
- Review purchase orders, specifications, schedules, commercial terms, and documentation requirements.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, action items, deliverables, and customer commitments.
- Lead or participate in customer kickoff meetings, project reviews, schedule discussions, and status calls.
- Coordinate project execution across multiple manufacturing locations and internal departments.
- Partner with operations and production teams to monitor progress, capacity, and potential delivery risks.
- Work with engineering on drawings, technical submittals, design questions, approvals, and project-specific requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure purchased materials and subcontracted work support project schedules.
- Communicate project status, technical questions, schedule updates, documentation needs, and changes directly with customers.
- Identify and help resolve schedule, commercial, technical, quality, and supply-chain risks before they impact delivery.
- Track customer-requested scope changes and coordinate associated cost and schedule impacts.
- Maintain organized project files and provide regular updates to customers and internal leadership.
- Manage multiple active projects while maintaining strong organization, prioritization, and follow-up.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; engineering, business, manufacturing, construction management, or project management backgrounds are beneficial.
- 3–5+ years of project or program management experience in manufacturing, engineered products, industrial equipment, construction, EPC, or a similar technical environment.
- Experience managing complex customer orders or projects involving multiple departments, suppliers, manufacturing sites, and deliverables.
- Technical or engineering background is helpful but not required.
- PMP or similar certification is a plus.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with customers, vendors, sales teams, engineers, and manufacturing personnel.
- Comfortable discussing project schedules, production status, technical deliverables, and commercial requirements with customers.
- Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, specifications, schedules, and contractual requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP, CRM, scheduling, or project-management systems is preferred.
