Hunter Recruiting has an opening for a full-time Litigation Legal Assistant working in the Chicago office. This is a smaller office atmosphere that is within a larger firm network. Our office environment focuses on teamwork and supporting each other in order to better balance workloads. Therefore, strong teamwork and communication skills are highly desired. This is an in-office position that is eligible for hybrid work after the initial onboarding period.

Litigation Legal Assistant Responsibilities
  • Producing, editing and proofreading various legal documents and correspondence.
  • Calendar management, travel arrangements, and expense reimbursement.
  • Trial preparation and overall assistance with litigation processes and procedures.
  • Time entry, transcription of dictation, and overall file maintenance.

Litigation Legal Assistant Requirements
  • 5+ years law firm experience in litigation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ability to create table of authorities and table of contents, and formatting Styles to assist with quick document preparation. 
  • Experience with billing, electronic filing in state and federal courts, docket management, and trial experience.
  • Experience to produce, review, and format legal documents.
  • Excellent accuracy, grammar, and proofreading skills.
