The Senior Electronics Engineer will lead the design, development, testing, and production support of electronic control products. The Senior Electronic Engineer will be involved throughout the product lifecycle, from initial concept and circuit design through prototyping, verification, certification, and production. The Senior Electronics Engineer will lead the design, development, testing, and production support of electronic control products. The Senior Electronic Engineer will be involved throughout the product lifecycle, from initial concept and circuit design through prototyping, verification, certification, and production. This role combines analog and digital circuit design, embedded firmware/software development, product development, and project coordination.
Senior Electronics Engineer Responsibilities
- Lead electronic product development from concept through production, including planning, design reviews, prototyping, validation, verification, and qualification
- Design and develop analog and digital circuits, including power supplies, microcontroller interfaces, and embedded control systems
- Develop and maintain embedded firmware and application software using C and C++, with Python used for testing, automation, and data analysis
- Develop microcontroller-based systems using bare-metal and RTOS environments, device drivers, state machines, interrupts, and communication protocols including I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, and BLE
- Perform hardware bring-up, troubleshooting, and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD tools, and other laboratory equipment
- Use Altium Designer and SPICE tools for schematic capture, PCB design, circuit modeling, calculations, and design analysis
- Apply DFM/DFT, FMEA, EMC/EMI, and quality principles to ensure reliable, manufacturable, and compliant product design
- Provide sustaining engineering and manufacturing support for existing products, including troubleshooting, product improvements, component qualification, and customer/sales support
- Lead technical and stage-gate design reviews while coordinating with ECAD personnel, designers, technicians, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams
- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation and support product certification, testing, verification, and validation with external certification agencies
- Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience with product design and manufacturing
- Experience with analog/digital circuit design and embedded firmware development
- Proficient with embedded programming in C and C++
- Experience developing, debugging, and writing code
- Experience being customer facing
- Relevant experience with appliances
- Microchip experience
