Payroll Project Manager Overview:
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading complex programs and initiatives from conception through implementation, driving cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives and deliverables. Leveraging your experience and leadership skills, you will manage program scope, schedule, budget, and resources to ensure successful outcomes.
The specific focus of this position is to lead and coordinate Payroll Processing implementation across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil as part of a key project strategy. This includes managing regional timelines, coordinating in-country resources, overseeing key vendor relationships, identifying and escalating risks, tracking financials and resources, and developing mitigation, training, and cutover plans to support successful regional execution.

Payroll Project Manager Overview:
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading complex programs and initiatives from conception through implementation, driving cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives and deliverables. Leveraging your experience and leadership skills, you will manage program scope, schedule, budget, and resources to ensure successful outcomes.
The specific focus of this position is to lead and coordinate Payroll Processing implementation across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil as part of a key project strategy. This includes managing regional timelines, coordinating in-country resources, overseeing key vendor relationships, identifying and escalating risks, tracking financials and resources, and developing mitigation, training, and cutover plans to support successful regional execution.
Payroll Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead planning, execution, and oversight of large-scale programs and projects aligned with organizational goals and priorities.
- Define program scope, objectives, deliverables, success criteria, project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Establish governance, communication, and stakeholder engagement strategies throughout the program lifecycle.
- Manage cross-functional internal and external teams, resolve issues, and mitigate risks.
- Monitor performance metrics, milestones, risks, and issues; report status to senior management and stakeholders.
- Lead change management, decision-making, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and coach junior program managers and project team members.
- Manage US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil project timelines and regional execution.
- Identify and escalate risks, issues, and decisions through RAID logs and formal channels.
- Identify resource constraints and track vendor costs for the assigned region.
- Provide 4-up weekly reporting for the assigned region.
- Oversee and assist with Key Design Decision (KDD) documents, current-state documentation, and project deliverables, including presentation for review and approval.
- Coordinate in-country resources and testing resources to ensure successful execution.
- Serve as liaison with key vendors.
- Conduct analytical reviews of project documents.
- Maintain current-state documentation, including SOP creation/modification and process mapping.
- Create mitigation, training, and cutover plans for the assigned region.
- Conduct workshops with in-country teams to assess processes and develop action plans for flawless Operational Day 1 execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6–9 years of experience in program management, project management, or a related role, with demonstrated progression in responsibility and leadership.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex programs and projects from initiation to closure, delivering on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues, identify solutions, and drive resolution.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, such as PMBOK, Agile, and Waterfall.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- Experience managing programs or projects in a technology, engineering, or product development environment.
- Knowledge of program/portfolio management tools and software, such as: Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Smartsheet
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices.
