The Process Engineer is key to growing the business through continuous development of the product portfolio. This position plays a key role in product and process development, building technical capability and driving growth and leadership.
Process Engineer Responsibilities:
- the optimization and advancement of manufacturing processes specifically tailored to the production of roofing materials utilizing asphalt and bitumen.
- charge of process engineering projects focusing on the implementation and enhancement of chill banding or cooling and pastillating systems utilizing conveyor belts.
- closely with cross-functional teams to translate market demands into innovative manufacturing solutions, ensuring our products maintain a competitive edge.
- and maintain a robust pipeline for process development, prioritizing initiatives that align with our strategic goal of market leadership.
- thorough analyses of competitive process technologies and intellectual property landscapes to identify areas for innovation and differentiation.
- insights from internal and external stakeholders to tailor manufacturing technology development, ensuring alignment with business objectives and exceeding customer expectations.
- strong partnerships with key stakeholders across R&D, Operations, Marketing, Sales, Sourcing, and Finance to drive prioritization and resource allocation for impactful initiatives.
- a strategic roadmap for capability enhancement across various R&D competencies, emphasizing process development, performance validation, and rapid prototyping.
- and address technical gaps by evaluating and integrating new equipment or vendors that expand our manufacturing capabilities, accelerating technology development initiatives.
- continuous improvement efforts to optimize manufacturing processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
Process Engineer Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 3-5+ years industry experience in process or product development is required.
- Technical Expertise in adhesives, coatings, and/or membranes strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to generate new and innovative product or process designs in continuous manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time (varies depending on project need). Travel will be U.S. based and pre-planned.
- Team oriented, with high energy and desire to build strong relationships, collaborate and drive results across multi-functional and discipline boundaries in a dynamic, multi-project environment.
- Ability to present data to multifunctional audiences and drive the decision-making process.
