SAP EWM Functional Analyst Summary:

The SAP EWM Functional Analyst oversees the Extended Warehouse Management functionality within SAP EWN, focusing on inventory management and related functions. They analyze business requirements, design, implement, and support SAP EWN process solutions tailored to warehouse operations.

SAP EWN Functional Analyst Responsibilities:
 
  • Provide expertise in business system analysis and process design for warehouse operations, translating requirements into system solutions.
  • Lead system and business process initiatives for Inventory Management (IM) and associated functions.
  • Configure SAP EWN and other business applications to meet functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with warehouse leadership, management, and operators to ensure alignment.
  • Develop detailed functional specifications and collaborate with developers or vendors as needed.
  • Participate in testing activities including scenario creation, execution, and user acceptance testing.
  • Manage changes implementation without disrupting business operations.
  • Maintain documentation for configurations, changes, and testing.
  • Work with infrastructure teams to deploy and support mobile solutions and RF technology.
  • Take a leading role, possibly as project manager, in SAP module projects.
  • Manage tasks throughout project lifecycle phases, ensuring successful delivery.
  • Lead internal and external teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Liaise with material suppliers on labeling and documentation requirements.
  • Provide application maintenance and support, addressing user issues promptly.
  • Perform assigned tasks in accordance with safety policies and quality standards.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned by management.

SAP EWN Functional Analyst Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of IT experience in a corporate environment supporting SAP systems.
  • Expertise in SAP WM and EWM.
  • In-depth understanding of warehousing best practices and their implementation in software solutions.
  • Hands-on experience in core SAP EWN areas such as warehouse configuration, putaway, picking strategies, cycle counts, wave picking, and storage unit management.
  • Experience with SAP Inventory Management (IM) and inventory best practices.
  • Understanding of SAP module integration, especially in warehouse management.
  • Full lifecycle implementation experience with SAP or other Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make independent decisions.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and multitasking abilities.
